Meet our team.

Geoff & Glenda Swan


Geoff and Glenda Swan can share many inspirational stories since buying the business from Les Warren in 1984 and building it up to the business it is today.

Originally starting in the business as a supervisor, Geoff is a qualified carpenter and registered builder with 40 years building experience. Geoff is a member of the Master Builder’s Association of Australia and the Housing Industry Association of Victoria, along with over 20 years service in the Diamond Creek Rotary Club.

Geoff is community-orientated and was personally touched by the devastating fires at Kinglake and surrounding areas. As a result Geoff and Glenda have been active fundraisers and mentors, assisting in the rebuilding process through the local traders and Rotary.

Geoff and Glenda are parents of five children and have fourteen grand children.

Melissa Swan

General Manager

Having grown up within a family building business, property and construction have been key influences within my working career. My current role as general manager for LP Warren Homes, I play an integral role in the day to day business operations, from managing the strategic direction of the business, to making key decisions and overseeing the projects on site.

My main focus when entering the family business was to learn all aspects of the business from the ground up before taking on the role of General Manager, this was important to me to build a solid understanding of the business to enable better decision making and become a dynamic leader within the organisation. This hands-on experience includes establishing organisational processes and procedures, sales and production estimating and quoting, compliance of standard building practices and regulations (home design and home construction), accounting and site supervising.

Juggling the demands of family life and running a small business, the challenges of construction keep me focused and determined to succeed in the building industry. My long term goals are to gain my building license to take over full control of the family business and firmly establish myself as a successful female Custom Home Builder.

Jenny Howard

Financial Controller

Jenny Howard hasn’t just always worked in accounting her career started out at a young age in the Hospitality industry rising up quickly to Management of commercial kitchens giving Jenny a great insight to budgeting and managing cash flow and the responsibility of managing people and business.

After leaving the hospitality business to start a family she juggled her responsibilities as Mum to 3 young children and came into the Family Business to take over the financial role from her mother Glenda Swan.

Jenny has had many roles within the business over the years with her main role now being Financial Controller and a Director of LP Warren Homes.  She is integral in the forecasting and budgeting and managing the day to day financials. In saying that you will also often find Jenny out onsite hands on supporting the construction team and keeping a track of construction progress.

At home Jenny is kept busy by her husband Steve and three fast growing teenage children. It’s a full time job keeping up with all their sporting achievements. Most nights and weekends you will catch her Taxing between commitments and relaxing at home when she gets the chance.

Kristie Ferguson

Contracts Admin / Maintenance / Colour Consultant

With over 20 years’ experience in the building industry, a strong knowledge of construction having worked as office manager in both a timber yard and private builder for over 10 years, moving onto sales and colours for 2nd part of her career in the building industry I absolutely love doing what I do!

Lucky enough to recently become part of the LP Warren team, and local myself I now assist with the majority of the what building brings. From colour consulting, making my clients dream come to life onto holding your hand throughout the build experience right through to the maintenance stages after you move in.

Having built 6 times myself, I understand areas of change within the industry, the interpretation expected for my clients and what can be overwhelming to some – providing you  a comfortable and enjoyable moment whilst investing in your all time dreams!

Within my 20 years I have designed homes alongside architects, worked on permits through council, been part of the estimating division and quotes as well as the Sales manager for a volume builder.

Now with my new opportunity working with an extremely successful and reputable company, involved in the high end prestige market I can focus on premium products and quality with less volume and building the best of the best. When your job drives for 100% customers satisfaction, my passion for building can only excel!

Kathlene Church

Construction Estimating Manager

At age 23 in 1994 my career in the building industry started when I began working with my parents Geoff and Glenda Swan in our family business ‘LP Warren Homes’.  Over the years I have worked in most aspects of the business, starting in reception, preparing contracts and specifications, moving through different areas of the business such as Sales Hostess, Maintenance, Administration, Accounts receivable and now managing the Construction Production area. In this position I am responsible for ensuring all the materials and labour are ordered accurately and on time for our jobs to run smoothly on site.

I took a few years off when I had my three beautiful children, staying at home until they were all at kinder and school, then returning full time. My eldest is now in University doing a Bachelors Degree in Business and my other two children are finishing off their high school VCE’s.

I watched my parents run the business over the years and have learnt a multitude of valuable skills and values that I apply daily to my work. I am a constant presence in the office to our staff, sub-contractors, suppliers, company reps, and enjoy working in the family business along with both my sisters Mel and Jenny.

Tony Nissan


I have been working as our fulltime draftsman for over 8 years and approximately 12 years within the Design and drafting industry.

Specialising in sloping block design with emphasis on efficient construction method, while maintaining design appeal is my main asset & the majority of the work involved with LP Warren Homes – being the sloping block specialist for Victora.

I can work with Single dwelling designs, knock down rebuild, extensive home additions/renovations as well as Multi-Unit development sites.

I am a Registered building practitioner with a Diploma in Building Design and Technology.

With all these aspects in place I thoroughly enjoy working with our unique clients to innovate, create and design our luxury range of homes from 40sq up to 100sq including pools, saunas, lifts and many other lifestyle requirements necessary within a Premium product!
